Abstract

-- Currently, the management and monitoring of products of different types is a critical and extremely important task for companies in all industries. With the increase in the production and distribution of goods, it has become essential to ensure the authenticity and traceability of products. “The traceability of a product has become an indispensable industrial procedure,” according to Mecalux [1].

A fundamental aspect of this process is the assignment and validation of unique serial numbers for each item. Serial numbers allow companies to track products from manufacturing to final delivery, ensuring quality and preventing counterfeiting.

In addition, it can help in customizing a product or detecting a defective item after being delivered and applying corrective actions immediately, such as removing it from the market, as it offers 3 overviews; backward, internal and external [2].

This web-developed project aims to create an innovative application that validates the uniqueness of the serial numbers assigned to products in QR. This application will provide companies with an efficient and reliable tool to guarantee that each serial number is unique, avoiding duplications and possible errors in inventory management. Serial number validation is essential not only to maintain the integrity of the inventory system, but also to comply with quality and safety regulations in the industry.
