Burnout, also identified as "professional exhaustion", has been recognized as a significant problem in the educational field. Teachers, who are the main fundamental agents in the training of future generations, are exposed to multiple stressors that can lead them to experience this syndrome.
In particular, in the context of the pandemic during COVID-19, the teachers of the Instituto Tecnológico de Villahermosa have faced new challenges and demands, such as the transition to virtual classes and maintaining emotional stability in the face of such a situation, which generated the associated stress. Therefore, it is crucial to proactively address the effects that burnout syndrome generates and develop tactics for effective management and prevention.
This project examines and presents various intervention strategies that can be implemented in the educational field, specifically aimed at teachers of the Technological Institute of Villahermosa. These strategies are intended to help teachers manage and prevent burnout syndrome, thus promoting their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
The project was carried out through the investigation of theoretical, documentary bases and successful experiences in other similar environments, interventions that include the development of stress management skills, protection of a healthy work environment, how to identify stress management skills, and the execution of psychological support events and the strengthening of resilience.
The results obtained reveal the important points about the signs of burnout in the ITVH teaching staff, which indicates the urgent need to implement the intervention program and measures to address this problem. It is important to provide adequate support and resources to teaching staff so that they can treat and minimize the effect of stress, which allows them to find personal and work emotional stability, their physical well-being, and in the work environment.
