The following project has the purpose of achieving the implementation of a receipt inspection process within a company of the automotive industry. This receipt inspection department is key within this type of industry, since the international standard ISO IATF 16949 that governs the industry, indicates that it must be in order to control the level of incoming quality of supplies or raw materials required in the manufacturing process, but sampling is required due to the volume handled in the industry. Within the project, the use of tables such as the AQL is recommended for the quality assurance of the products, measuring through a military table the amount of sample needed to inspect and using an AQL of 1% to check if the defects within the parts are acceptable or not for manufacturing. It was demonstrated with the AQL quantities that the quality of the incoming products does not directly affect their manufacturing process nor is it representative at the time of arrival with the customer.
