Reduction of procurement processing time in the material resources and services department of the TecNM campus Ciudad Juárez

Abstract

The Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) has a Directorate of Material Resources and Services (DRMyS), which is responsible for establishing the protocols and guidelines to be followed by a department of Material Resources and Services (DRMS) of the different campuses of the TecNM that exist within the Federal Entity, for the acquisition of a good or service. The administrative personnel of the TecNM, Ciudad Juarez campus face different situations to adapt to the established protocols and guidelines, so most of the time they acquire goods or services without following the protocols and guidelines to the letter. This research focused on simulating different possible scenarios within the Bizagi platform to reduce the time for the acquisition of the good or service following the protocols and guidelines established by the DRMyS. A non-experimental, cross-sectional research was used, and it was based on descriptive and causal research methodology standards and prospective research. For this case, 2735 requisitions made during the period 2021 and 3136 requisitions generated in the period 2022 were used.
