The objective of this document is to provide a general overview of the meaning of the Systems Approach, as well as its development, origins, and current state in Mexico. Additionally, it describes some concepts used in the study of systems and their properties, landing on the focus of systems thinking. This is framed within the concepts of a system within a system and its properties, taking as reference the contributions of different authors dedicated to the study of systems.
