This study was developed and applied nanomaterials, that is, materials on a nanometer scale, with dimensions less than 100 nm, using lignocellulosic waste (residual biomass) as raw material for the synthesis, which is why they are considered bionanomaterials, with adsorbent properties. The synthesis method used is based on a delignification process, promoted by chemical agents, we used NaOH and HCl, which generated activated or partially carbonized carbon depending on the experimental conditions, from pineapple crown and Cocoa Pod Husk.
These properties give them applications in the removal or elimination of contaminants, in particular, we demonstrate it in liquid samples taken from Laguna de las Ilusiones from México, considered a Protected Natural Area of our State, to test the capacity of synthesized bioadsorbent nanomaterials by contributing with efficient, modern and low-cost technologies to reduce the environmental impact of our eutrophicated aqueous systems and generating, in turn, a recovery alternative for an appropriate circular economy in waste management, since these contribute to the generation of Greenhouse Gases from microbial decomposition, when they reach landfills.
