Abstract

In this proposal, the techniques for the distribution of areas within a marble shop will be presented. The company offers a plant distribution problem since there is no assigned area for each machine or work process.

Likewise, so that this type of problem does not arise, it is proposed to assign a specific space to each machine, representing it through a Layout made in the AutoCAD software, made with the corresponding measurements of the company. The sizes of space within the marble have been taken, and the Layout is made in AutoCAD. The work area will be represented in the drawing with a different color.

The results of the Layout in AutoCAD are obtained, and a simulation is carried out in the FlexSim software, in which the proposed machines and operators will be represented, the transport from the input of raw material to become finished product.

Marble is a stone that is extracted from hills, and it is used for different purposes. In this case, the company uses other plates to elaborate roofs in the industrial, hotel, and domestic sectors. This type of work gives a more welcoming life for the consumer since they are delicate jobs and provide a warmer stay.
