The incidence of operational personnel turnover in an automotive parts production company

This article describes a study conducted in an automotive harness manufacturing company located in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, focusing on staff turnover. High staff turnover is often attributed to various factors, but this research hypothesizes that the turnover rates among operational staff are primarily influenced by the different leadership styles employed by supervisors. The study utilized turnover data provided by the company, and the information was collected through questionnaires administered in person to production line supervisors. The first questionnaire gathered demographic data of the supervisors, while the LEAD (Leader Effectiveness and Adaptability Description) questionnaire assessed the adaptability and effectiveness of supervisors in their leadership style.
