Persistent identifier policy

ip

IPSUMTEC promotes permanent access to articles through registration, tracking, and constant monitoring of metadata. All articles and issues published by the journal, up to the current issue, have a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

Each DOI identifier is generated by Crossref through the OJS (Open Journal Systems) manager. To ensure its functionality, the DOI is always displayed as a complete URL link, both in the presentation of articles and journal issues, as well as in PDF files.

It is the responsibility of each author to verify the DOI of their manuscript and the volume in which it is published.

Starting with the first issue of 2019, the ORCID ID is mandatory for author registration. This is a persistent identifier that distinguishes authors from other researchers, facilitates recognition of their contributions, links them to their institution, and reduces the possibility of errors in their registration.

In order for authors to obtain this identifier, IPSUMTEC provides them with a link to the ORCID website (a global non-profit organisation that promotes the transparent exchange of information) when they register on its website, so that they can request an ID with their information. This service is completely free of charge.
