Publication frequency
IPSUMTEC publishes two issues per year on a biannual basis (June and December).
To optimize publication times and provide authors with faster access to indexing and citation, IPSUMTEC operates under a continuous publication (rolling publication) model. Under this model, accepted articles are published individually as soon as they complete the editorial and production process, rather than waiting for the entire issue to be finalized. Articles are progressively added to the corresponding issue throughout the six-month period until the issue is formally closed and its final table of contents is confirmed.
This publication model offers several advantages:
- Reduced time-to-publication, as accepted articles are made available immediately upon completion of peer review, editing, and layout, without delays caused by other manuscripts still in process.
- Immediate assignment of a DOI and full bibliographic metadata upon publication, enabling early citation and indexing.
- Continuous visibility of new research throughout the publication cycle, rather than a single semiannual release.
Manuscript submission to IPSUMTEC remains open year-round, allowing authors to submit their contributions at any time. Submitted manuscripts are processed on a rolling basis and assigned to the next available issue according to the editorial and peer-review timeline.
