Abstract

The growing complexity of academic and administrative processes in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) makes them see the need to optimize their processes to be more efficient and effective. This research presents the development of a Integral Management System (IMS), which was designed to meet the needs of the Instituto Tecnológico de Zacatepec. The IMS was built using the Flutter and Firebase framework. The construction of this IMS began with requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, as well as prototyping, followed by the design and development phases. Additionally, agile development principles such as Scrum were used to ensure flexibility throughout the project. The results include improvements made to academic processes, in addition to improving response time between various actors and departments of the Institution.

Eugenio César Velázquez Santana , National Technological Institute of Mexico

Dr. Eugenio César Velázquez Santana is a full-time professor at the Zacatepec Institute of Technology. He has been the coordinator of the Doctorate in Engineering Sciences programme and head of the Systems and Computing Department. His academic output includes numerous publications in specialist journals and conferences. He is currently president of the Master's Council in Artificial Intelligence at the same institute.

Marco Aurelio Velázquez Velazco , National Technological Institute of Mexico

Professor Marco Aurelio Velázquez Velazco has been affiliated with the Systems and Computing Department since November 1991. He currently holds the position of Systems Development Coordinator and has participated as a speaker and advisor at various regional and national computing conferences.

Mario Humberto Tiburcio Zúñiga , National Technological Institute of Mexico

Professor Mario Humberto Tiburcio Zúñiga belongs to the Systems and Computing Department at the Zacatepec Institute of Technology and specialises in the areas of web development, computer networks, computer graphics, and data analysis with Python. He has been a member of academic bodies related to the application of ICTs in education, with distinctions such as Perfil Deseable PRODEP, and has belonged to the State System of Researchers of the state of Morelos.

Luis José Muñiz Rascado , National Technological Institute of Mexico

Professor Luis José Muñiz Rascado studied engineering and completed his master's degree at TecNM/Instituto Tecnológico de Zacatepec (ITZ). Since 2013, he has been a professor in the Department of Systems and Computing at ITZ. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at TecNM/CENIDET, under the supervision of Dr. Noé Alejandro Castro Sánchez.

José Pedro Aragón Hernández , National Technological Institute of Mexico

Professor José Pedro Aragón Hernández has worked since October 2003 at the Zacatepec Institute of Technology, where he has served as a lecturer at the Academy of Systems and Computing. He has also held various administrative positions and, in parallel, has given lectures on the dissemination of technologies for human well-being at different academic levels and in different states of the republic.
