IPSUMTEC Journal fully adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, jointly developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). This adherence reflects an institutional commitment to scientific integrity, editorial transparency, and compliance with the international criteria required by major indexing databases (Web of Science, Scopus, DOAJ, Latindex, Redalyc, among others).

1. Editorial Governance
The journal maintains an Editorial Board and an International Scientific Committee composed of researchers with recognized national and international standing in the journal's subject areas. The composition, institutional affiliation (including ORCID identifiers), and roles of each member are published and regularly updated on the journal's official website, ensuring the traceability and verifiability required by indexing systems.

2. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two external reviewers with subject-matter expertise, unaffiliated with the publishing institution. The process guarantees objectivity, confidentiality, and independence; its detailed description—including average review turnaround and acceptance/rejection criteria—is publicly available to authors.

3. Open Access and Licensing Policy
IPSUMTEC is a diamond open access journal, with no charges for authors or readers. All content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution to authors and the journal, in accordance with DOAJ's Transparency Guidelines.

4. Editorial Ethics and Best Practices
The journal formally adopts COPE guidelines regarding authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, research misconduct, retraction, correction, and content preservation. In cases of editorial dispute, the editorial team follows COPE's official flowcharts for resolving publication ethics issues.

5. Transparency in Authorship and Affiliation
Each published article includes complete and verifiable author information: full name, institutional affiliation, country, contact email, and ORCID identifier, in accordance with WAME standards on authorship criteria and scientific accountability.

6. Publication Frequency and Availability
The journal is published biannually (January–June and July–December), with continuous publication within each issue. All content remains freely and permanently available online, with a DOI assigned to each article.

7. Funding and Processing Charges
Publication incurs no cost to authors or readers (no APCs). Operating funding comes from institutional resources, publicly disclosed in the journal's information sections.

8. Ownership and Institutional Management
The journal is owned by the Instituto Tecnológico de Milpa Alta, part of the Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM), a public higher-education institution, ensuring long-term institutional stability and editorial continuity.

9. Digital Preservation
Content is safeguarded through institutional digital preservation systems and the LOCKSS/PKP PN network, ensuring permanent and integral access to published articles even in the event of technical or institutional contingencies.
